Jimmy Carter Contacts North Korea





I am not a fan of former President Jimmy Carter. In fact, it would be truth if I were to say that I believe he is a criminal, both politically and spiritually. Let me explain, years ago, prior to the death of Yassar Arafat, Mr. Cater felt it was his job to make peace in the Middle East. Please don't misunderstand me, I firmly believe that anyone who attempts to create lasting peace treaties between any ongoing conflict does complete a good work.  Messiah Yeshua stated:

9 Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.  Matt 5:8-9 (KJV)

But Mr. Cater felt that he should do his works without discussing his agenda with either the United States or Israel. It was during this time that Carter actually began holding personal discussions with the terrorist organization known as Hezbollah. Without regard that Hezbollah was and is a known terrorist organization, Carter began discussions of the dismantlement of Israel so the Palestinians could get a homeland, Israel. It takes great pride to decide that he alone should be the one to settle the Middle East conflict, a conflict which has continued ever since Biblical times.  Carter is a fool to do so.

Over and over the former president has taken it upon himself to be the paramount mediator across the globe. In his dealings with terrorist groups and governments Carter has begun dialogues with the dictator Hugo Chavez in Venezuela, the terrorist organization Hamas (the current ruling power for the Palestinians), and North Korea's former dictator Kim Jong II. I do not know if Carter has dealt with the Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, but I am sure he will attempt to do so.

One of the main reasons that I have trouble listening to the exploits of Jimmy Carter is he is totally against Israel. For those of us who take the Bible literallty it is a simple fact that Israel belongs to the Jewish people. Scripture goes so far as to give the exact borders of Israel. Yet, Jimmy Carter has done nothing but show complete and utter disdain for God's Laws.

Carter may be a good mediator (I don't think he is), a fact the world believes in as he received a Noble Peace Award, Yet for those Christians who wish to make sense of the Middle East conflict, Carter's actions just don't add up. What Jimmy Cater fails to realize is that there can be no peace in Israel or anywhere else in the Middle East without God coming first.  Mashiach (Messiah or Christ) alone holds the title "Prince of Peace".  As I have always believed, you cannot solve a religious issue like the Israeli-Palestinian conflict with purely secular negotiations.


I pray that Carter will find God and use it as the foundation for all his negotiations where ever they may be.

Does God Have a Special Place for Israel in the Millennium?

I found that I agreed with most of what the author wrote, except it cannot be denied that the physical Israel (the Jewish people) have a special importance in the eyes of Adonai.  This is not to say that the author wasn't correct on his view that all Jews and Gentiles are on equal footing.  This is a concept (aka. Olive Tree Theology) that I and The Road to God Ministry take very seriously.  My greatest issue with the article is that the writer implied that all Jews are the same.  Jews are Jews after all.  But the truth is you can no more generalize all Jews any more then you can with Christians.

Seven-Year Peace Treaty





With over a half a million hits on The Road to God Ministry website in 2011 I, as president, have made many new friends, colleagues and ministry members.  Today one of those contacts called me, all the way from Israel.  Ahmed F. is a twenty-three year old Palestinian member of the ministry.  Ahmed is new to being a Christian and he is in fear of his life for believing in Yeshua haMashiach (Jesus the Christ).  The reason for Ahmed contacting me was that he heard important news from the Palestinian Authority.  Ahmed told me that Israel and the Palestinians are prepared to move forward on a 7-year peace treaty.


The big news here is not that there may be a treaty, Israel and the Palestinians have gone through many such negotiations.  The vital message is that the treaty would last for seven years.  The prophecy of Daniel reads:


24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. 25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times. 26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined. 27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

The Alpha News Now Bible Prophecy website interpreted this prophecy in this fashion:




"Then (later) he ("the prince who is to come" ... the coming Antichrist)
shall confirm (enforce)



a covenant ('peace treaty' or 'peace plan')
with many (in Israel)
for one week    (shabua or shabu’im  =  a week of Years  =  7 years)
But in the middle of the week    (exactly 3½ years ... 1260 days ... after enforcing this 'peace' plan)
He shall bring an end to sacrifice and offering.   (there will be a new Jewish Temple built in Jerusalem)

Over the past year I have done many studies into Eschatology (End-Time Study).  One of the important facts I have always believed in is that when we here of a peace treaty in Israel that is to last seven-years then it is truly the time that we all look to the sky.  This is the time to get "right" with God by accepting the one and true Messiah, Yeshua.

Please do not make the mistake that I am declaring when the Rapture or Second Coming will take place.  No man knows the exact time.  The Gospel of Matthew records Yeshua's words as he clearly stated even He did not know.  It reads,

 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.  Matt 24:36 (KJV)

and,

 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, 39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 41 Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 42 Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. 43 But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. 44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.  Matt 24:37-44 (KJV)

Rather then trying to blindly pick the exact time, we as Christians should now feel a strong desire to reach our family, friends, and loved ones.  Instead of becoming a predictor of the date, the Bible states that we should be watching for the times and seasons.  The simple question we are left with us is what signs and portents are the precursor to the Tribulation.

Overall it is a lot to think about.  I cannot wait to meet Yeshua, Moshe (Moses), Eli-yahu (Elijah) and Shaul (Paul) I feel that the time of Tribulation is an exciting one, since that means it will only be a short time to wait for Mashiach.

Creationists vs Evolutionists; 6-Day Creation





As an orthodox Biblical literalist I take Scripture "as is."  The idea of someone translating the Word of God into a preconceived perception of their beliefs is completely taboo to me.   A hermenuetical view of literalism takes away any personal responsibility we may have in deciding what is true and what is false in the Bible.  One of the doctrines I hold too is based in the fact that the entire Bible is true.  The Apostle Paul wrote in 2 Timothy:


All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:  2 Tim 3:16 (KJV)


The key word in this verse is the word "all."  What we are told here is simple; that each and every word within the Bible, Old and New, are 100% true.  What the word "all" does not say is that we can pick and choose what verses to believe.  This being the case, any study of Creation and deciding if it happened in six days should be simple.  Too many "scholars" have taken their views of Creation to a subjective opinion.  This can be seen in the many views of Creation including:  theism, Gap-Theory, the Big Bang, etc..  I have attached a wonderful article presented by Answers in Genesis (Creation Museum).  Ask yourselves this simple question: are we accepting all Scripture, including the Creation story on face value?  Or are we changing Scripture to fit our own belief system?

I encourage you to read your Bibles in a literal fashion.  I promise you that the Holy Spirit will guide you through this process and you will gain a new perspective of God's Word.

Does the Latest Science News Speak Ill of Faith?

There were two stories I recently read by Fox News.  The first is,
Scientists Close In On 'God Particle'  and the second is 'Walking' Fish Prompts Evolution Rethink.  Should these news stories effect our faith?  No way!  If anything these science articles should bolster our faith in the Word of God and our Messiah, Yeshua.  After all our faith is not to be given signs and miracles, rather the very definition of faith (Hebrews 11:1) states that we should hold our faith regardless of what man may say.  So where does this inner need to prove God false?  Something to ponder.

Being Thankful





There are many things I am thankful for in my life.  My family is up on top!  I have been blessed to have a wonderful wife and a gorgeous and kind daughter.  I am blessed in having a roof over my head and food to eat.  I am blessed in being an American.  As an American I have the freedom to express my beliefs and views in public.  Of course there have been repercussions to expressing my views, but I still have the liberty to choose whether or not to speak them in public.  I am thankful that The Road to God Ministry has aided in leading thousands of people around the world to Yeshua haMashiach.  Most of all I am thankful for Yeshua and the salvation that comes when we place ourselves in his care.  I am blessed to have a God who overlooks my many sins.  Yesterday was Thanksgiving here in the United States.  It was a day that I was extremely and seriously ill.  Yet, I could do nothing but praise God for His many blessings.  Are you thankful?  If you are, let us know.

Obama And Sarkozy Bash Israel & Netenyahu





One of the great eye-opening news stories over the past few weeks has been the blunder committed by French president Sakozy and US President Barak Osama Obama.  During an interview the two leaders began exchanging their views of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netenyahu.  Sarkosky was heard saying that he hated Netenyahu, that he thought that he was a liar and that he feels Netenyahu is the sole reason for the Israel-Palestinian failed negotiations.  President Obama then very clearly commented that he had it worse as he must deal with the Israeli Prime Minister each and every day.

Now I have always expected anti-Semitic rhetoric to emerge from France as this country has always been anti-Zion.  But for our President declaring his dislike for Israel and it's leaders a new issue has arisen.  The United States has been Israel's greatest supporter providing money, weapons and other necessities.  As we continue to wait for the Israeli first strike on Iran;s nuclear labs and facilities Israel probably feels more isolated then ever.


As for myself, I am a Zionist.  One reason is that I is because I am Jewish and I wish to offer Israel my solidarity.  The  other reason for my Zionism is because this is the land Adonai gave to the Jewish people.  Not to Ishmael's descendants (Arabs), but to Issac's children (Jews).


Here is something to consider...people have been speculating Barak Obama is a Muslim.  These accusations have been there since he ascended the US Presidency.  Personally I do not know or care if he is a Muslim or not,  What matters is that he must stand firm for Israel, a term I call American Zionism.


Precious Lord, I pray that you watch over Israel in the days ahead.  May the Holy Land continue to be a blessing to all who inhabit it.  Thanks you allowing me to be in a country where I may freely practice my faith.  In Yeshua;s name, Amen.

Fire From a Gay Marriage Post





I have seemed to throw myself in the fire by a single Facebook status comment.  Several days ago I spoke out again the Conan O'Brian show on TBS.  Conan held a authentic gay marriage on his show.  Because I said on Facebook that it is wrong and un-Biblical people are now calling me ignorant, foolish, homo-phobic and a few other derogatory  terms.  Even at home I am told that my opinion was judgmental.  But I disagree.  As a Bible literalist I cannot ignore the fact that the Bible speaks out against homosexuality.  Allow me to present some verses that apply to this line of thinking:


And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
Gen 1:26-28 (KJV)  

God declares that it is a man and a woman who should replenish the earth.  



21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; 22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. 23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. 24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
Gen 2:21-24 (KJV)  

It is a man and a woman who can be married as one flesh.  There has never been a verse of the Bible that sanctions gay marriage.


3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.  Gen 6:3 (KJV)


It is human beings that attempt to rationalize same-sex marriage.  It was when the Spirit of God left mankind that we moved towards advocating homosexuality.  

If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
Lev 20:13 (KJV)


This is a big one!  Here Torah (the Law) strictly forbids gay sex.  From the beginning Judaism taught against homosexuality  


And please allow me to clarify the purpose of this blog; it is not to bash homosexuals, but to clarify that homosexual sex, with men or woman, is against Torah.  There is noting wrong with being gay, only acting upon the lustful thoughts bring about true sin.



9  Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.  1 Cor 6:9-10 (KJV)


This just one passage from the Brit Chadashah (New Testament).  Many others exist.


As I stated being a homosexual is fine.  I love my fellow man as I love myself.  But homosexual acts and deeds are wrong.  What Conan O'Brian televised was wrong.


I know many people will react badly to my posts and I am truly sorry for any ill feelings that might arise.  But to not speak a Bible truth is a heavy responsibility I hold dear.  As I said many years ago when I gave my family a copy of my testimony in the book The Road to God; people may not like what I have to say, but I am saying it!  It is because I love my neighbor as myself that I am willing to go on the firing line of this issue.


Lord I give you thanks and praise for all the many blessings in my life.  Homosexuality is a tough subject to tackle and I pray that we may all turn to your Word for guidance.  I pray that I may continue to love all humankind, whether we our straight or gay.  Your are truly the Rock that stand higher then I.  In Jesus' name, Amen.

A God of Absolutes





Throughout my writings, whether they be online or as papers, I have made it clear that I am a Biblical literalist.  My hermenuetical view is that the Bible should be taken in a literal fashion.  I have only disdain for those interpreters who take Scripture in either a contemporary fashion or worse still, as an analogous living Bible.  I firmly believe that the Bible should be taken first in a grammatical-historical context; how it reached those living at that time period.  It is only then that Scripture should be reexamined as to how it relates to humanity today.  Nevertheless, they are both of equal importance.

With this in mind you may understand as to why I get so irritated with people who declare that God will punish us based off of the degree of sin.  For example let us look at the following verse:


Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the LORD.  Leviticus 19:28


This is the principle piece of Scripture that speaks out against tattoos   I believe the verse is very clear in stating that tattoos are wrong and a sin.  In the historical context this verse spoke out against the death and fertility cults that demanded tattoos back during the Exodus.  Yet, as I said earlier, we must also look to how this passage effects us today.

So the question is are tattoos more or less of a sin then murder or adultery.  Can we put the sin tattoos on a degree level?  I cannot begin to speak of all the times I was asked if tattoos are a sin.  The answer is yes, they are.

Now that we established tattoos being a sin the question still remains; will God view tattoos as He views murder or adultery? The answer is straightforward.  The sins are equal in God's eyes.  We must each remember that God only sees things as a sin or not a sin.  As God is holy and cannot be around sin then it is clear that you really cannot rate a sin, for iniquity is iniquity and God cannot be near any unsaved sinner.

This view of either/or can be seen in the most basic of doctrines of Systematic Theology.  God views the human race in two categories; saved or cursed.  Matthew 12:30 says it best reading,

He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.  Matthew 12:30

There is simply no third option.  Romans 1:20 states,

For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:  Romans 1:20

The basic interpretation states that human beings have no excuse, we either accept Yeshua and be saved with eternal life or cursed by not accepting Yeshua.
Precious Lord, I give you thanks and praise for every blessing within our lives.  I thank you for the understanding that your sinful children must choose your Son, Yeshua.  I thank you for filling me with your Ruach haKodesh (the Holy Spirit) that I may continue to study and teach your Word.  In the name of Yeshua I pray.  Amen

Husbands and Wives, Part 2

I do admit my love at being married.  For 12 years I have been married to my best friend.  It truly is a wonderful feeling.  Don't misunderstand me, we have our trying moments, any good relationship does.  But what makes our relationship special?  Is our marriage sanctioned by God?


I believe it is.  Let me explain.  Kolleen is a Gentile, raised in a Protestant home.  She did not grow up religious, but she was a Believer in Jesus Christ.  On the other end, I am a Jew and it was not until the mid-90's that I convinced myself of the truth of Yeshua haMashiach.  Kolleen and I were baptized (immersion) back at August 12, 2000 by my former Messianic Rabbi.  It was a wonderful surface as he baptized us both at the same time.  That brought an equality and joining to our spiritual relationship.  It did not matter that I called the Messiah Yeshua and she did Jesus.  We were both believers.


Now, Kolleen did know all about my years of religious and Biblical study.  She knew everything about me, good and bad.  We simply accepted the lives of each other.  As the years passed, my education grew.  Since the baptism I have been a minister to God.  I have received a bachelors in Ministry and I am close to my masters in Ministry.  Yet, this growth in my formal Christian education has only brought us closer spiritually.  Kolleen depends on me to teach doctrine.


The greatest spiritual event for us was the birth of our daughter Sarahfay.  We were told prior to Kolleen being pregnant that kids were not possible for us.  Yet, God had granted us a living and true miracle, Sarahfay.  The question that plagued us was how Sarahfay was to be raised; as a Jew or a Gentile.  According to Rabbinical Jewish law Sarahfay is only Jewish if her mother was Jewish.  But according to Biblical law Sarahfay was Jewish because I was Jewish.  So what do we do?  Sarahfay is being raised as a Christian, a Jewish Christian.  In an Olive Tree marriage, we try to raise our daughter without any spiritual confusion; and I believe we have succeeded.  


Many people question whether a Jew should marry a Gentile.  But the truth is if we put Yeshua first in our lives, it does not matter.

Husbands and Wives, Part 1





Throughout my Biblical studies one fact remains paramount; that the family, husband, wife and children, is the first ministry given to us by Adonai.  Biblical literalists like myself cannot ignore the fact that we are all indebted to our families.  It is inescapable that in marriage there must be a man and a woman to hold the state of matrimony.  Any other view, and I am referring to same-sex marriages are a facade of what we see in Scripture.  The Word states that there should be one man for each woman.


We can also find throughout the Bible the mitzvot that parents have a strong responsibility to teach our children everything we can about God, Yeshua and the Ruach haKodesh (Holy Spirit).  In fact, one of the more devout Jewish verses in Deuteronomy tells us what parents should be accomplishing,



4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: 5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. 6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: 7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. 8 And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. 9 And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates. 10 And it shall be, when the LORD thy God shall have brought thee into the land which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst not,
Deut 6:4-10 (KJV)


Unfortunately I see too many uneducated children today.  Even kids who attend church every Sunday tend to hold what I call "spiritual illiteracy."  Outside of Fundamentalist churches it often becomes obvious that the Bible is not being taken literally.  Pastors and preachers are interpreting the Bible in a "lets make it fit" fashion.  Chuurch teachings are being watered down for the congregants.  This my friends is not just wrong, but an abomination to God.


As a preacher, husband and father I take the words of Deuteronomy chapter six very seriously.  Every chance I get I talk to my daughter obout God.  That is a task we all need to do.

The Question of Disease





I was sent an e-mail earlier today with the question of disease.  The inquiry was:

"Why are there painful illnesses and how should a Messianic Jew [or Christian] deal with it?"



As a man who suffers from a serious liver disease on top of Type 1 Diabetes, Chronic Pancreatitis and Migraine Headaches I found myself drawn to answer this question on the ministry blog.


As to why God allows us to suffer through various conditions the answer is simple, we did this to ourselves.  I am not referring to you per se, instead I am talking about the first man and women, Adam and Eve.  It was their sin that brought death into the world.  At this time  I would like to direct you to a blog article written by a friend of mine named Kasey.   Her article explains why we have diseases better then I could.  You can find that article at:  Lessons from Ivy.  


But as to how we should handle our diseases is an answer I can provide.  The Epistle of James reads,



"My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. 5  If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. 6 But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. 7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. 8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways."
James 1:2-8 (KJV)


What Ya'akov (James) is saying is that we must each deal with our illnesses in a fashion that brings about patience.  It is our patience that brings faith in our lives, a stronger faith in God that He will hear our prayers.  Verses 6-8 state that we need to be true to our faith, true to the belief that God will hear our prayers.  It is our  unwavering and steady faith that gives a public testimony to Yeshua.  But this testimony is only valid so long as we remain pure:  spiritually, emotionally and physically.  As soon as we break out testimony in one area, we break it with all of them.


Now I understand it when those who suffer painful illnesses ask why God chose them to suffer.  I know personally how angering it is to hear from a fellow Christian that God does not want us to be ill.  That fact of the matter is that we are ill.  We just need to remember that having patience and a strong faith as to why God has us dealing with pain will bring about a stronger conection between us and Yeshua.
